Product Care Recommendations
Please follow our recommendations for washing your swimsuit or cover-ups.
A swimsuit is subject to many aggressions due to chlorine, salt, sun or sand. To increase its lifespan, it is important to maintain it well.
Find out how to wash and dry it and what precautions to take to avoid premature wear. Here are some washing and drying recommendations.
As soon as you get out of the pool, make sure to rinse your swimsuit with clean water. Don't hesitate to repeat the operation when you get home.
Avoid washing your swimsuit in a washing machine as this can damage the fibers and reduce the elasticity. You may only wash it in machine with cold water, using non industrial soap (wool liquid soap in very small dose is ok) no spinning and no hot air dryer.
It is possible to use a mild soap for hand washing but avoid rubbing energetically.
The goal is simply to remove as much chlorine as possible. When wringing out your swimsuit, do not twist it, as this can damage the fibers of the fabric. You may place your bathing suit in a towel and press lightly to remove excess water. Never leave your swimsuit in your pool towel if not flat.
For drying, it is best to dry it flat to avoid deforming it. Avoid the sun and the dryer!
Beware of sunscreens that stain and may contain chemical products that are aggressive to fibers (and skin).
Also avoid spas and hot tubs. Even if they require you to wear a bathing suit, be aware that they are quite aggressive to the fibers of your swimsuit. Possibly, wear an old swimsuit and save your Nomad Tribe Swim for the rest of your summer activities!
